[[News No 1.]]Markets halt their five days winning streak and closed in red. Prior to today’s trading session Sensex has gained more than 2300 points in last five trading days. Selling pressure increased after Europe opened on weak note. IT, metal, power, capital goods, bank and FMCG indices were closed negative. However, oil & gas and realty stocks witness buying interest.

Markets are awaiting Inflation numbers and first quarter numbers Index heavyweight Reliance Industries. Inflation numbers for the week ended July 12 is likely to be more than 12% as against 11.91% in earlier week. According to CNBC-TV18, Reliance Industries net sales are seen up 40% to Rs 41342 crore versus Rs 29524 crore. Its net profit is expected to go up 14.1% to Rs 4142 crore versus Rs 3630 crore.

   [[News No 3.]]CRISIL has assigned a CRISIL IPO Grade 2/5 to the proposed initial public offer of Neoteric Infomatique Ltd, which indicates that the fundamentals of the issue are below average relative to other listed equity securities in India.

The company aims to raise around Rs 47-48 crore through the fresh issuance of 6.97 million shares.

The grading factors in Neoterics market position as one of the top 10 IT-Hardware distributors in India and the increased relationships with some of the key IT Hardware vendors in the past 3 years. The grading also takes into cognizance the favourable volume driven growth expected in the computer hardware industry especially in the laptops and the TFT monitors segment.

The grading is however constrained by the inherent risks attached to the distribution business which is characterized by thin margins and undifferentiated nature of the products. In addition, the anticipated pressure on margins due to expected increase in competition and due to the underlying risk associated with technology driven products is expected to limit the companys ability to improve profitability in the long term. The grading also reflects the crucial role played by the promoter for developing vendor relationships. Notably also, the companys stated use of around 20-25 per cent of the IPO proceeds for setting up corporate office might not be the optimum use of the investors money as this is likely to suppress the Return on Equity. 
   [[News No 4.]]MMTC surged 5% to Rs 25,523.55 at 9:55 IST on BSE on reporting 38.1% surge in net profit to Rs 53.76 crore in Q1 June 2008 over Q1 June 2007.

The company announced the results after trading hours yesterday, 23 July 2008.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 150.82 points, or 1.01%, to 15,093.10, as oil prices dropped sharply on Wednesday, 23 July 2008, after the US government data showed a big increase in US inventories of gasoline.

On BSE, 11 shares were traded in the counter. The scrip had an average daily volume of 629 shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 25,523.55 and a low of Rs 25,523.55 so far during the day. The stock had a 52-week high of Rs 56,931.50 on 12 November 2007 and a 52-week low of Rs 2751 on 24 July 2007.

The mid-cap company had outperformed the market over the past one month till 23 July 2008, gaining 17.13% compared to the Sensex’s return of 5.92%. It had also outperformed the market in the past one quarter, declining 8.87% compared to Sensex’s decline of 10.64%.

The company has an equity capital of Rs 50 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

The current price of Rs 25,523.55 discounts its Q1 June 2008 annualised EPS of Rs 43.01, by a PE multiple of 593.43.

The company’s net sales rose 60.8% to Rs 9777.78 crore in Q1 June 2008 over Q1 June 2007.

The state-owned MMTC (formerly Minerals and Metals Trading Corporation of India), is a leading international trading company. It trades in diverse fields like minerals, engineering, agro, marine, textiles, leather and gem & jewellery.

Net profit of Bombay Polymers rose 200.00% to Rs 0.03 crore in the quarter ended June 2008 as against Rs 0.01 crore during the previous quarter ended June 2007. There were no sales reported in the quarter ended June 2008 and during the previous quarter ended June 2007.
