Placing your first successful trade in Indian stock market takes years to become a reality. However, before we go further into the topic, let us at first understand the investment procedure in a stock exchange.

Investment procedure
The investment procedure in a stock market is very cumbersome and at the same time very complex to understand. Investing in the online stock market, though sounds very simple but in reality it shows a different picture altogether. It is very difficult to be successful in the stock market. In addition, it is all the more difficult to be successful in the first time itself. As such, if you are new to the stock market and are expecting to be successful in the first time itself, it is advisable that you wake up because unless you have outside support it is next to impossible to be successful in the first time. Very few people, although it would not be wrong to say none actually, are successful in their first attempt.

Investors today desire liquidity for their investments:
The investors today desire liquidity for their investments so that it becomes possible for the investors to immediately and at the same time effortlessly convert their securities into hard cash as and when required. As such, people today are more willing to invest in these securities as they facilitate the easy and immediate conversion of these securities into cash. Thus with such an increasing inclination of people towards investing in the securities has led the people yearn for a place which can facilitate the dealings in these securities and the same time provide ample safety in their dealings in the securities as well. As a result, a place was thus set up, and this place later on came to be known as the stock exchanges. In India, the overall development and regulation of the stock exchanges are looked after by the SEBI, which stands for the Securities and Exchange Board of India.

The stock exchanges were misleading the investors:
The Securities and Exchange Board of India, is an apex institution under the Ministry of Finance of India and was set up on 12th April in the year 1988. Later on it went on to become a statutory body under the Act known as the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992. The main aim behind the incorporation of this statutory body was to curb the malpractices in the stock exchanges because of which a large number of investors lost their investments. In addition, the stock exchanges were misleading the investors and as such, there arose a need to put an end to all such activities.

The stock exchanges are registered bodies:
Thus, the stock exchanges refer to those places in which the securities of various companies which are listed in these stock exchanges, can be bought and sold simultaneously. It is to be noted here that the stock exchanges are registered bodies. As such, these stock exchanges are organized and regulated in a way, which facilitate the dealings in the various securities of different companies. The securities traded in a stock market include both Government as well as corporate securities and as such, the people have a wide array of options to select from. Thus placing your first successful trade in Indian stock market is very difficult.
